Biomechanical Toy is a 2D run-and-gun action game not unlike Metal Slug or Contra.
The story: There is a magical world of living toys, maintained by a powerful item, the Magic Pendulum, which is guarded by the cuckoo clock, Relik. An evil goblin toy named Scrubby attempted to steal the Magic Pendulum, but he failed, and was put in the slammer. The crown-wearing Scrubby (prisoner no. 665, a pun on the superstitious number of evil, 666), escaped from jail for another attempt to steal the Magic Pendulum, and in this case, he was successful! Bwahahahaha! He then assembled an army of evil toys to dominate the toy world, and also imprisoning any toy that can threaten his plans. All is not lost, though, there's shades-wearing, gun-wielding Ignuz, the titular Biomechanical Toy, who sets off to fight Scrubby and his forces and bring back the magic pendulum.
Below here is a longplay video of the game!

SSBB is a fighting game, not a run-and-gun.

If you watched the video of the longplay, you might have noticed that there's a but of Engrish, but it's not Japanese that it's improperly translated from, I think it's Spanish or something. Or maybe someone who worked on the game had rather broken English.
