Oh, and here's another thing; The Neo-Geo CD had a debut at E3 in 1995, where SNK showed off the top-loading model that was sold worldwide, the one your older cousins have!

Also, I found something else about the Neo-Geo joystick controllers.
They can be hooked up to certain models of the MVS motherboard, but you'll have to set the motherboards on free play (which means you can play on it for free) in the dip switch settings. Once you set the motherboard on free play, you can hook up a joystick controller to one of two controller ports, and once you do that, you can press start to play the game, and the select button to switch to another game before pressing start.
This is an MV-2F (2-slot) motherboard with the cover removed. The controller ports can be seen on the bottom-right corner. Plus, it has a built-in memory card reader.

So, are there any video arcades near where you live? They might have MVS arcade machines! I understand if they don't.
Also, there's this video arcade in Japan called Neo-Geo Land, which mostly involves the Neo-Geo arcade games and such.
